Last year's GCSE students finally celebrate
Posted: 28th April 2022The class of 2021 finally got their chance to shine after their GCSE success.
Students who completed their education last summer saw their celebration evening postponed due to the pandemic.
Instead, they returned this year to collect their GCSE certificates and to celebrate with their former classmates and teachers.
Awards were given out for exceptional achievement in various subject areas.
Kayleigh Trainor, assistant head, said: “This was an opportunity for students and staff to celebrate the successes of our students.
“This celebration allowed students to celebrate how hard they had worked, despite external exams being cancelled. They all worked incredibly hard during the academic year to achieve the grades they were awarded. Getting the opportunity to finally celebrate that was lovely. We even had one student who has relocated to Croatia join via video call - technology at its best!
“It was lovely to welcome back the class of 2021. They have already grown up so much and it was lovely to hear how well they are doing and how much they miss Forest Hall.”
