World Book Day
Posted: 9th March 2022A cake party helped students to indulge in reading for pleasure as they took part in a range of activities to mark World Book Day.
Pupils were challenged to write their own stories on just two sides of A4 paper with the title The Impossible and create their own book covers as part of the celebrations.
A cake party not only encouraged students to engage in reading, but raised a total of £105 for the Red Cross in support of the people of Ukraine.
Hannah Stuart, subject leader of English, said: “We gave out book tokens and had fantastic discussions at the cake party about books both staff and students have been reading.
“At Forest Hall, we promote reading throughout our school day, therefore it was important for us to celebrate World Book Day - and enjoy cake at the same time!”
