Multicultural Day at FHS

On Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th June, Forest Hall School celebrated the world with multicultural days. Students had the opportunity to meet people from across the world and learn about their culture. A number of activities were set up for students and teachers to enjoy ranging from Bollywood dancing to Irish culture.
BOLLYWOOD DANCING
“Very energetic, difficult but fun, sometimes frustrating until you get it.” – Omar Mate, Year 10
“It is a fun and interesting view into Indian culture.” – Jake Mullens, Year 10
AFRICAN PATTERNS
“It was fun to learn about African beading.” – Sophie Taylor, Year 9
“Very fun to learn about African jewellery.” – Becca Smith-Wilson, Year 8
IRISH CULTURE
“It was interesting to learn about new sports, such as hurling.” – Mami Seck, Year 10
“It was surprising to learn that Irish has its own language not accent.” – Kaelan Sampford, Year 10
GREEK CULTURE
“It’s cool to learn about different countries and how they live compared with England.” – Emma Sullivan, Year 8
“It’s very interesting and different to other things.” – Niamh Madigan, Year 7
WORLD FOOD
