School community enjoys fun sports day
Posted: 20th July 2021An element of fun was added to the traditional sports day to ensure every young person – and adult - enjoyed getting involved.
Students at Forest Hall School competed for their houses in the traditional athletics events, but this year also enjoyed taking part in fun activities, such as the wheelbarrow race, sack race, space hopper race and mini relays.
For those who prefer team sports, the day also included football, netball, rounders and tug-o-war.
Teachers got involved with a 100m sprint race.
Sarah Power, enrichment lead, said: “We had such a great sports day!
“The range of events meant even those who do not love sport could get involved and enjoy the day. There were amazing options available to all children.
“It so nice to see students outside, being really active and having fun. It was something different and a great way to end a tough year.”
Winning students were presented with medals and given their moment of glory on a podium.
